[There's only one thing that could mean, but he looks very much like he doesn't want to finish the thought himself and draw the inevitable conclusion. NORMIE DENIAL.]
...So then, you think someone... [...Hesitates. Forces himself to say it.] attacked them?
[And--Sasaki is a normie, yes, but he's not an idiot. Unless it's a robot gone rogue, they haven't seen anyone but their vacation group for a whole week. So he can see the pieces that are waiting to be put together, even if he wants so badly not to understand.]
... yes. [ again, he's being a little more delicate about this because this is a teenager. ] There was something left behind that looks like it was used as a weapon against Vi. I can't even start to think what happened to Fushiguro. But it's not good.
[He would claim he doesn't need to be handled with the kiddie gloves but he really does compared to everyone else here so thank you Apollo.
His first inclination is to insist that it was probably some kind of freak accident, like all the others--but those events were so shockingly horrific that in a weird way, human violence is almost, almost easier to comprehend. His second thought is to ask "why," but... how should Apollo know? And it's not like Sasaki is completely naive, even if he doesn't have personal experience with these things. He's seen the news, read stories. There are a thousand things that could've happened.]
...I couldn't get through to EMS. [Not for lack of trying. His burner phone is nothing but failed attempts to call Miyano, his family, and 119, respectively.] What are we supposed to do?
[ it's fine, he's been doing this for a few months and he's still not entirely chill. he does frown when he hears that because first of all, that sucks that they're really cut off somehow, and secondly that's probably a scary feeling to try and still not get through. he has enough empathy to at least consider that part, and he folds his arms over his chest for a moment. ]
Handle it like we'd handle any case. It'll be hard without the usual departments or tools, but... we'll investigate ourselves, hold a trial to put together the pieces and find the guilty party. That's what I'm planning for tomorrow.
Every crime has a crime scene, and every crime scene has evidence. What I'd like to do is see if we can go back and check where Vi was found, and also at least the market because that's where Fushiguro's rabbit ran off to. Even if everything looks normal now, we may be lucky and the robots will let us look and what was left behind. No crime is actually perfect. It's about finding what's there and putting the pieces together. Like a puzzle.
[He... guesses that makes sense? Kind of? In the same way anything about this crazy place "makes sense." There's at least a thread of logic there that he can follow.
Also he's just assuming this is Apollo talking about himself and Phoenix and maybe one or two other people, very funny.]
[ honestly he was also only expecting people who wanted to be there to show up, so the fact that the robots rounded everyone up was surprising to him, too. ]
... depends on why they did it. That's the first question. I want to understand why it happened, and what caused them to do it. Either way, we'll have to find a way to isolate them to prevent them from hurting anyone else. We can't trust it anymore. At least not until we find our way out.

Not... an accident?

No. There are some things that could have been written off, maybe, but others that don't add up. I'm sorry.
[ sorry for having to break the news, he means. normie life is rough. ]
